Why we made this?
At atta, we believe yoga gear should work as hard as you do.
As a long-time practitioner and teacher, I’ve often felt the frustration of stepping onto a mat and not knowing if it would give me the grip and support I needed to stay grounded through class. Slippery hands, lack of stability, and feeling unsupported were challenges in my own practice.
When I traveled to Samui for yoga retreats and trainings, the heat and humidity made it even harder to stay grounded. I knew there had to be a better option—something lightweight, portable, and reliable.
I also found that the bigger brands didn’t speak to me. Their prices were high, their messaging didn’t resonate, and their products didn’t reflect how I practiced—or who I was. I’ve always felt more at home in basketball shorts than yoga leggings. What I really wanted was gear that let me move with ease, express myself authentically, and feel supported—without pressure, performance, or pretense.
That’s why we made the atta towel. Designed for real movement and real sweat, it’s lightweight, grippy, and built to perform anywhere you move—studio, gym, or travel. It’s made to work with you, not against you.
