Using The atta™ Towel to Support Your Yogasana Practice

Props don’t have to be bulky or complicated. One of our favorite things about atta™  Towel is how it doubles as a reliable yoga tool—especially in those moments when you need a little extra support for tight shoulders, hamstrings, or finding your bind.

Here are 4 poses where your towel becomes the perfect prop:

Gomukhasana (Cow Face Pose)

Use your towel like a yoga strap—hold one end in your top hand, and the other in your bottom to close the distance between your hands behind your back. It helps open your shoulders safely and builds mobility over time.

Marichyasana C (Seated Twist with Bind)

In this seated twist, looping The Towel between your arms lets you simulate the bind even when your hands don’t meet yet. This keeps your spine long, chest lifted, and twist strong—without collapsing the chest.

Paschimottanasana (Seated Forward Fold)

Tight hamstrings? No problem. Wrap The Towel around your feet and gently pull to deepen the fold. You’ll maintain good alignment while avoiding strain in your neck and lower back. Remember, always options to bend your knees, and have your feet hip width apart. The key is to bring your torso close to your thighs, and feel the length of the spine.

Utthita Hasta Padangusthasana (Peace Finger Toe Pose)

Can’t quite grab your foot while standing? Use The Towel as a loop around your lifted foot, then extend the leg. This helps you maintain balance and alignment while safely exploring your range of motion.

Toss it in your bag, roll it out with your mat, and explore how one small tool can make a big difference in your practice.
